“We were looking for a way to improve the business’ efficiency,” says Jason Morse of Essex Equipment Rentals.  “One area we thought we could improve was credit card transactions.”  Conventional credit card processing is a time-consuming, multi-step process:  The transaction is first entered into RentalMan.  The effort is then duplicated by manually entering the card information into a merchant terminal, requiring a customer signature for both the contract and the credit card receipt.  Finally, the merchant terminals need to be batched out at the end of each day and reconciled against the day’s transactions, but because there is little information other than the amount, this can be a tedious and error-prone process in its own right.

For his business solution, Jason turned to Wynne System’s new integrated credit card payment system.  The integrated payment system allows for credit card transactions to be processed directly through RentalMan, eliminating several of the steps required by conventional credit card transaction processing.  Verifone’s online merchant console keeps records of each transaction that can be traced directly back to RentalMan through our Cash Control Operations menu, making reconciliation at the end of the day quick, painless and accurate.  “It’s been a huge time-saver,” says Morse about RentalMan’s integrated credit card system.
