At this year's User Group Meeting, users submitted requests of what they would like RentalMan to do. The ten most requested are below, and will be created and added to Version 9.

1. (tie) Ability to move parts within a Purchase Order.
   (tie) Ability to download reports to Excel spreadsheets.
2. Work Order credits, without having to create additional Work Orders.
3. Easy set-up financial statements.
4. The security of the menu options improved upon. This becomes very difficult to administer upon when you need to restrict employees from various options within a menu.
5. Add an Accounts Receivable package to include Lien Management software which tracks information to validate use of Lien Law procedures.
6. Detailed revenue and gross profit by salesman report user. Totals by specified catalogues i.e. Rental, Rental other, Tools, Merchandise, Equipment, etc. The report would give information for current period and year to date for this year and last. Which salesman is the most profitable?
7. Ability to use multiple forms of payment to close a "Cash" rental transaction.
8. Make the use of decimals consistent throughout the various segments of RentalMan.
9. (tie)Produce an invoice with corrected amount due when a partial payment or credit has been applied.
   (tie)The ability to have multiple warranty end dates by area of the equipment. Drive chain, electrical, chassis, etc. Also allowing the work order to be closed and the warranty claim to be updated before sending to the manufacture.

The 2003 User Group Meeting was held this past week at the Westin Hotel in Long Beach. Clients from all over North America joined Wynne Systems as they unveiled Version 8, the newest release of RentalMan. The 3-day event was filled with opportunities for RentalMan users to meet other industry professionals and to meet the Wynne Systems team behind their software.

Along with the announcement of Version 8's release, clients were involved in group discussions, workshops and break-out sessions that gave them a closer look at the direction RentalMan is moving, wireless technologies (such as barcoding and tracking systems), and what to expect from the IBM iSeries in the future.

Representatives from both Qualcomm and Avnet were in attendence, discussing their partnership with Wynne Systems and their involvement with helping to shape the equipment rental industry.

Users were given the opportunity to submit modifications they would like to see RentalMan doing in the future. The suggestions were compiled and voted upon, with the ten most requested created and released with Version 9.
