Did you know you can adjust the number of copies printed for RentalMan transactions?

With RentalMan’s Outq Override File Maintenance, the number of duplicate copies that print for the transactions listed here can be controlled.  This functionality is self-maintained by our On-Premise clients.  Our Software as a Service (SaaS) clients are encouraged to have these maintained with the help of our support staff.

 

Forms That You Can Adjust

This list displays all the available forms you can adjust through Outq Override File Maintenance.  You can choose to print as many copies as you need per form, depending on your needs.

How To Change the Number of Copies

Follow the steps below in order to make your changes.  If you do not have access to these menu options, please contact your system administrator for further assistance.

Step 1:  Access System File Maintenance Menu

From the Main Menu, select Option 8:  System File Maintenance Menu.

Step 2:  Access Outq Override File

From the System File Maintenance Menu, select Option 8, Outq Override File.

Step 3:  System Outq Override Maintenance

The System Outq Override Maintenance option has four entry fields.

Step 3

  • Company:  Enter the 2 character alpha-numeric company code here.  By default, this will auto-populate with the company you're currently signed in to.  If you leave this field blank, then your changes will apply to all company codes.*
  • Location:  Enter the 4 character alpha-numeric location code here.  By default, this will auto-populate with the location you're currently signed in to.  If you leave this field blank, then your changes will apply to all locations.*
  • Workstation:  You can specify down to the workstation on the number of copies to print for a user.  This only applies if workstations are not automatically assigned by your System i.
  • Program Code:  Enter the 1 character alpha-numeric program code.  To select from a list of valid list of program codes, press F4.

Step 4

* If you leave both the company and location fields blank, then this override will apply to ALL companies and ALL locations for that particular form.

 

Step 4:  Override the Number of Copies to Print

Now you can enter the number of copies you'd like to print for that particular form.  In the example below, we are changing the Rental Purchase Quote form for location DMO in company RM to only print 2 copies.

In addition to adjusting the number of copies, you also have the following options to override:

  • Outq Name:  Entering a printer name here means that any copies for this particular form will only be generated at this printer.  This will override the user's workstation record.
  • Forms ID #:  If you're using different ID numbers for your forms, enter the override form ID # in this field.  If you're uncertain, please contact your system administrator or our support desk to determine whether this is applicable.
  • Alignment string:  This field is used to store a string used to align electronic forms.  It is unlikely you need to use this override field.  However, contact your system administrator or our support desk to determine whether this field should be updated.
  • # of copies:  Enter the number of copies you'd like to print for this form.
