| 2010 Trade Show Round-Up |
|
Looking back at the shows we have exhibited at in 2010, the strongest feeling I walked away with was that a positive shift is definitely happening in our industry. Like any other company, we really had to analyze where our money would be allocated throughout the year. The issue of exhibiting or not exhibiting at trade shows was a big focus, since so many resources are required to pull off a successful show. With shows being exceptionally slow in 2008 and 2009, the option of not exhibiting became even more attractive. However, we also realized the importance of supporting our trade organizations, being able to meet with current customers and the brand awareness that these shows supply. After months of exhibiting at shows throughout the United States and Europe, I am even more confident that our choice to remain as participants was the right one. The increased attendance and overall enthusiasm from companies to make their organizations stronger was truly inspiring. While it may take a few years to reach the levels our industry was at, stronger foundations are now being built to prepare for the success that is to come.
