Wynne Systems, Inc. announced in September that their software, RentalMan, has been successfully implemented in China. This marks the first time that Wynne Systems has incorporated Unicode into their RentalMan software, making it now available to virtually any country in the world.
When client Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) announced their plans to open a branch in China, they came to Wynne Systems with a unique challenge: Give RentalMan the ability to display Chinese characters. Wynne Systems worked to modify their system to display and render the characters by supporting the Unicode Standard.
Michael Stilwagner, Vice President of Operations for Wynne Systems, says that this is a proud accomplishment both for RentalMan and HERC. “Working as a team, HERC and Wynne were able to provide a robust application usable by Chinese and English speaking users. This achievement has opened many doors for both companies.”
