Wynne Systems, Inc. announced in September that LOXAM has begun its pilot of their RentalMan software in its ten Belgian locations.
LOXAM, the largest equipment rental company in Europe and ranked number 7 in the world, chose Wynne Systems’ software solution, RentalMan, after an extended decision.
“We are proud to be selected as LOXAM’s business partner in this important step in their stalwart business growth,” says Michael Stilwagner, Vice President of Operations for Wynne Systems. “Our experience in the equipment industry was tested again and again through benchmarking to thousands of locations and tens of thousands of users. Visiting our clients’ sites in the North America and Europe, meeting and performing demonstration after demonstration has shown our dedication to the industry. More importantly, this has shown to the executive management that we will deliver the best product.”
While LOXAM has decided to go forward with RentalMan, the first step is a software pilot. This is pivotal, and something that all large companies should do prior to a full-scale go-live. Stilwagner explains why this should never be disregarded. “A full- scale pilot will test policy and procedure as much as the applications. The implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite of applications is one of the largest projects a company will undertake. This will force the company to look at itself from top to bottom and challenge the ‘that’s the way we’ve always done it’ frame of mind. The final test and proof of a successful pilot is that the entire process is looked at closely for its duration--Often there are adjustments to what was thought to be a bullet proof process.”
The pilot in LOXAM’s Belgian locations will last for two months. After its completion, a company-wide rollout will begin, to include their locations in France, The Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark.
